Mattew is an energetic boy who has completed the first semester of 5th grade. He has been getting better at school this year as well as last year. He slightly raised His GPA 2.43 from of 2.24. We will keep motivating Mattew to try his hardest and work to his full potential.
Although many think of Matthew as an unguided missile, he is, in fact, slowing down. He may fall into the ADHD spectrum, but the days of frantic rushing around and complete distractibility are done. Matthew has made friends and plays well with others. He has become an excellent soccer (football) player and plays every evening with the rest of the boys and some of the girls. His school work is improving rapidly and we are really proud of his accomplishments. Today, it is hard to remember the somewhat misshapen, surly and uncommunicative little guy who first arrived at Warm Heart. His constant contact with the other kids has made a huge difference and helped to socialize him. Like other kids before him who started off as complete misfits, we think Matthew will leave Warm Heart a happy and fully functional young man.
Just for fun we asked our kids some questions. Below are Mattew’s answers to some of the questions.
