Busaba just finished the first semester of 7th grade and has made a significant improvement in her studies. Her GPA jumped to 2.82 from 2.38 in the last term in primary school. She also got first “A”s of her score in Art and Health classes. She does appear to be maturing and teams up with her friends to get help with her homework. When she stays focused and studies with our after school teachers, she makes good progress.

During a recent flu epidemic at Warm Heart, Busaba was a great help caring for the other kids until she herself got sick.
This was very encouraging, since Bu is usually hyperactive and hard to focus. Over the past year, we became increasingly concerned about Bu.
Because of our partnership with the Wheelchair Project that is located at the one hospital for children with developmental disabilities in North Thailand, we have been able to get Bu assessed.
They concur with our guess of some degree of fetal alcohol damage, but none of us has any clue where it will lead.
She is a really great little girl – affectionate and full of energy – and everyone here adores.
2015 – Journey to Warm Heart
Busaba is not the first in her family to join the Children’s Homes.
After seeing the excellent care and education her older brother, Wipope, was receiving, her parents asked Warm Heart to take Busaba as well.
She joined Wipope at the start of the 2014 school year. Like many kids from the remote villages, she knew very little Thai when she arrived.
In school, Busaba loves learning and improving her Thai speaking, reading, and writing abilities. You can often find her with a book in her hands.
Her favorite part of living at Warm Heart is that there is never a lack of someone to play with.
She excels at braiding hair, that of her friends and of the volunteers.
Busaba’s favorite color is light blue.
A truly heartwarming desire, Busaba wants to become a teacher and return to teach the children of her home village.
