B has completed the first semester of 4th grade with 3.16 GPA and 5 A’s. He continues to excel at school. Last year, he earned his GPA of 3.36. He earned 5 A’s for the year. We know B will continue to shine in the coming semester!
B remains the single most curious kid at Warm Heart. He simply cannot sit still in one place watching one thing. He is always in motion, motoring around campus from one activity to another to check out who is doing what.
When asked whether he is not afraid something totally cool will happen at one place while he is visiting the others, he smiles his gap-toothed smile and says, “No.”
The one person B slows down for is his new little sister. B’s “mom,” SriPan, our head housemother, has effectively adopted A, B, and C.
For good measure, she just adopted a little girl, Ayoun, now age 2. The boys all adore her. B lugs her around with him or carefully walks hand in hand with her. He even seems to understand her first efforts at language! B is a perennial favorite among volunteers because of his huge smile and bear hugs.
He loves nothing more that measuring his height against Adjan Shafer’s belly and then expecting to get picked up. He is rapidly becoming way too heavy for anyone to want to pick him up.
Just for fun we asked our kids some questions. Below are B’s answers to some of the questions.

2014 – Journey to Warm Heart
B arrived at Warm Heart with his two brothers, named A and C, in early 2014 when a young woman woman noticed the boys wandering around a farm and called Warm Heart to take them in.
Their parents worked far away and left the boys alone for long periods.
This left big brother A as the caregiver for B and C.
Warm Heart helped move the boys to Ton Roong Boarding School where the boys spent the week and then the weekend at Warm Heart.
After six months of tracking their progress, Warm Heart decided it was best to bring the boys to Warm Heart full time.
B spoke only Akha when he arrived.
B and his brothers are now members of the core “family” of kids who live at Warm Heart year around.
B is thriving at the Children’s Home. Thanks to the after school tutors, House Mothers, and his Warm Heart friends, he is now almost fluent in Thai.
B likes the color yellow best.
Like many of the Warm Heart kids, B loves art and playing games. One of B’s favorite activities is a rousing game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’. He will come up to you with his right hand in a fist ready to play at any moment. Be careful if you begin- he will happily play for twenty minutes or more!
Following in the dreams of his big brother, A, B hopes to someday be a policeman.
B has been quite active in our art contests! We post our contests online and visitors to our site vote for their favorite ones. B has done really well in our contests!
The theme for this art contest was “What is your dream?” At one point B wanted to be a policeman, currently he is dreaming about being a professional soldier.
