Many of the children in our Homes and Middle School have already seen and suffered the consequences of far too much alcohol, drugs, sex, smoking, and violence. We therefore have strict rules for all adults visiting or working at both sites. Please observe these rules scrupulously.
- Do not smoke or drink alcohol at or within site of the Homes or Middle School.
- Sexual contact, including kissing, inappropriate touching or flirtation, with the children or students is strictly prohibited.
- Do not engage is sexual teasing, chiding or joking with the children, students, other volunteers, friends or staff.
- Do not engage in public displays of affection such as fondling, hugging, hand holding or kissing.
- Observe the dress code!
- Do not interfere with rules that the staff set for the children or students. If you have issues or questions, raise with Warm Heart staff at an appropriate time and place. Never disrespect a parent’s or teacher’s authority by challenging him/her in front of the children.
Remember: For the kids you are a role model and they will copy your behavior. Don’t send them the wrong message!
