If Warm Heart excites you, please consider working for us! Note, we say “work” and not “volunteer,” although few non-Thai staff are paid. We do not identify people only by whether they get paid or not. Everyone works hard, everyone has a real job, and everyone is part of the same, unified organization.
If you think that you might like to work at Warm Heart, please read our personnel policies carefully. Here are the headlines:
- We welcome staffers of all ages, races, religions and sexual orientations. Those under 18 require parental permission. We welcome families and we do our best to accommodate those who are challenged in one way or another.
- We require a minimum stay of three months except for students with academic constraints.
- We require staff planning to stay more than four months to take intensive Thai at one of the local universities.
- We hire only for specific positions (see Open Positions) and do not take “general volunteers.”
- We expect staff to behave according to the Warm Heart Code of Conduct both on and off the job.
- We provide a rental package of comfortable but not plush housing, motorbike and cell phone at a very reasonable rate. We do not provide other assistance in locating alternative housing and transportation.
