Academic Credit Options

Warm Heart is host to a variety of academic programs. We welcome inquiries from other institutions and suggest that students interested in academic credit inquire about options with our current partners.

  • Engineers Without Borders - USA

    Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life. This partnership involves the implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training internationally responsible engineers and engineering students.

    • Rutgers University Chapter

      In 2008-2009, the Rutgers University Chapter of Engineers Without Borders is committed to a water purification and water purification product development project for villages in Warm Heart’s home tambon of Mae Wan.

    • The College of New Jersey

      In 2008-2009, the TCNJ Chapter of Engineers Without Borders will design and construct a water retention and management system for the Warm Heart Children’s Home and Middle School.

  • Global PACT

    Global PACT, an international training program for people of all ages interested in community development and social change, bases its Southeast Asian headquarters at Warm Heart. Global PACT offers intensive month long trainings at Warm Heart in early summer, and two week programs for professionals in November, February and April.

  • Northeastern University

    Warm Heart is partners with the Northeastern University International Coop Office to provide six month coops for Northeastern students in disciplines ranging from nursing and computer science to advertising and social work.

  • Rutgers University

    Warm Heart collaborates with specific programs at Rutgers University to provide their students with both directed research and experiential learning opportunities in development, environmental studies and sustainable agriculture.

  • University of California San Diego:
    School of International Relations and Pacific Studies

    Each summer the UCSD School of International Relations and Pacific Studies Masters of Pacific International Affairs (MPIA) Program sends students from the International Development and Nonprofit Management career track to intern at Warm Heart.
