What does it mean to a child to have a sponsor?
It means that they are not alone, there is someone out there who cares about them.
Someone who provides wings for them to pursue their dreams, and build a future for themselves through an education.
It means the world to them.
Goy is a joy to have around. She’s skinny as a beanpole and twice as long, with a killer smile and a ready, helping hand.
Goy loves to sing and the easiest way to find her at Warm Heart is just to listen.
At school, she loves music and English.
After school, she studies hard with our teachers (humming to herself).
Someday she wants to be a professional singer.
In the meantime, she’s a big help in the kitchen and a really good badminton player.
She loves Mae Soon, her small, Karen mountain village, and her subsistence farmer parents, too, but she is so happy to be at Warm Heart to be able to dream of a better life than her parents have had.
