Home Visiting Program

Disabled and Elders Wellness

This is Noina. She is a professional nurse’s assistant and heads Warm Heart’s Home Visiting Program.

She is the lifeline for three dozen shut-ins’, their safety net. Her visits are the one joyous hour in otherwise drab and lonely weeks.

Please help us support her work for another year. She can do it all for $3,500, but without your support, she will have to go back to the city to earn a living.

Each morning Noina gathers her team of volunteers and packs our old Suzuki with healthy snacks, cleaning supplies, games and newspapers. Off they go bouncing and splashing along muddy country roads to make their rounds.

At P’Beer’s house, they will help with exercises and check for bed sores.

Foam will be waiting shyly to make pictures.

At Grandpa’s house, it will be laundry and house cleaning.

And everywhere there will be banter and laughter.

Teaching the volunteers Thai.

Board games,

Playing of music,

Reading of newspapers.

Noina and her team make upward towards 1,100 visits annually, wash lots of laundry and floors, give a lot of baths and bring untold smiles to the faces of people like Tip and Theap.

Through your generosity we will be able to keep our program running.
