A, age 9, Akha Hill Tribe

A Age 9

Akha hill tribe

A and his two little brothers, named B and C, came to Warm Heart in early 2014.

A young woman noticed the boys wandering around a farm. Their parents worked far away, leaving the boys alone for long periods of time, leaving big brother A, age 7, as the caregiver for B and C.

The boys are from the Akha Hill Tribe, and when they arrived the only language they spoke was Akha.

Since arriving at Warm Heart, A has become nearly fluent in Thai and has begun learning English.

A has been an active participant in our Art Contests. He is good student, eager to learn, currently has a 3.2 GPA. He is an avid football player, and has dreams of one day being a professional soldier.

A and his brothers are now members of the core “family” of kids who live at Warm Heart year around.
